Who is Laras?

Featured Replies

I saw in another topic this question just before the weekend and then I open CoS and continued reading.

The Kin say that they have people in the white tower and Min thought Laras was too practiced to not have done this before, Laras is a Kin agent.

I've just read TGS again, and how she acted in there made me think exactly that. I wonder if she would still want to me mistress of the Kitchens if she doesn't have her other 'hidden' role

I've always assumed that's exactly what she is. Are there people here with reason to doubt it? Other than the fact it's never stated she is, I mean.

Well, I also wanted to know who she was. But this seems likely.

Isn't there a statement to the effect in either TSR (to Min) or TGS to Egwene that Laras has helped a lot of women?

Also, given that the AS assiduously cultivated ignorance of the Kin because it made the picking up of runways convenient, wouldn't this be known to at least some AS?

Does that gel with statements that "Laras has secrets but she's no DF". Her "secret", which is known to a few AS, is that she's a Kin agent-sympathiser.

Works for me. I'll be a little disappointed if it pans out, because I was hoping for something a little more dramatic. But it does seem very plausible.
