I'm sad you don't know who they are, they aren't metal, but they started out with one of the hardest albums ever made. Then they branched out and experimented. Pretty much every album they ever put out is worth buying, and is also quite different from the previous albums.

PJ has got a deep catalog. Yellow Ledbetter was always one of my favorites and if you never could understand the lyrics in that song, you're not really meant to. I used to get really quiet and meditative during that song, and then I saw this:
