Uprising?!?!?!?!?!

Featured Replies

I think she did.

By the way, you can't have missed we (Despothera and I) want to create a new Faction. Would you join it? And, if not, would you if there would be five other people (beside me and Despothera) who would join?

1. was there to study, not sightseeing, though I did go to the wall (the end of it in the sea, was a few km from where I was staying))

2. am decidedly male

3. I do not believe in creating a new faction, sorry :)

When a name ends with an a, I normally think it is female. And you could've also put it on your profile. I checked it, but you were "not telling" your gender.

Well I've been here for a while and still haven't got round to spending any points yet haha. So until then I think I'm a lost cause :P

Wow. You have 342 points. That's enough to become Dedicated at once. You could choose to join us, and become the second Storm Leader (or, if you don't want, just a Dedicated). For each extra person wanting to join us, there is a larger change that we can create this Faction.

Ed?

Nice surprise. Well, nice...

You know what I mean. I didn't expect you. But now you're here, would you join us, when this Faction would be created? You would become Storm Leader, so your rank doesn't change.

I just want to know if people will join it if Talmanes allows us to create it, because there is more chance he allows us, if there would join more people.

1)Several member of the Staff have expressed an opinion against starting a new Faction. Do you expect Talmanes to swoop in and say yes?

2)Most of the rest of the people have at least subtly shown a lack of interest.

3)There are barely enough active members to support 2 Factions currently.

1) Talmanes said nothing about it. I don't know what his opinion is.

2) Maybe there comes more interest once it is clear it will be created. And it could also attract more people.

3) I don't think so, and also remember what I said at 2.

By the way, you asked me if I could talk about other things, but this thread is, after all, about that third Faction.

get a higher rank to get more points. Use those to start this faction in the shadow (just away from the rest, not the acctual SHADOW), as in, get a following of a set number of people. If you keep it interesting for say half a year and have enough stoogies to support you and declare they want what you're preaching, maybe something more permanent could be hassled from the ups. Try it, could be interesting - just don't excpect to get a faction simply cus you said so

As much as I hate to agree with Roka, he is right. Factions don't spring up over night. You will need to prove that there is enough interest and stability. But yes, the best way to do this is to create an unofficial sub-faction and keep it going for 6 months to a year. At this point you asked for our opinions and we gave them to you. Just because you don't like what everyone has to tell you doesn't mean you can disregard the facts.

A life lesson better learned sooner rather than later!

Like they said, a whole Faction is not going to be created on a whim. There has to be a clear desire from a respectable amount of people for a change this big. Take, for example, the forming of the Settlers Faction. There was a good 3-5 Civilians who wanted to part of the Black Tower, yet didn't want to have the whole channeling, Light vs. Shadow type thing. So they come up with a logical idea that satisfied them, and was beneficial to the Tower as a whole.

are you affraid of clowns Eclipse? Or is that hope in that avatar thingie?

That makes a lot of sense, Roka, thank you. In my original post, I wasn't really tryin to find out if I could start a third faction, I was mainly asking if there had ever been one, what people thought about third faction, yadda yadda yadda. To be honest I would say there's been mixed reactions to the idea, which I take for a good thing because this wasn't planned or precoordinated it was just a what if. I for instance didn't think that it would be possible at all for me to be able to be faction leader since I just joined myself.

I guess we can keep feeling it out, you're right third factions definitely shouldn't be started on a whim, so we'll see if we gan gain enough public support for an idea over time. Between my eloquence and general leadership abilities, Leyrann's crazy spammage and obvious madness (which is a good thing in our subfaction), Tiinker's impressive points stack and cool quirkiness, and Cindy's (love you Cindy!) general awesomeness, we might have a good start for a subfaction. We still need a crafty veteran. Ed? Eclipse? Roka? I'm lookin at you guys
