Happy birthday, Mirsh! I'll drop by (virtually) with a present later! My connection is spotty this morning.

You first.

Thanks, everyone!

I celebrated my birthday by going to the doctor's office for a glucose tolerance test. sick.gif Once the queasiness wore off I took a really long nap.

I'm spending today recovering from all the excitement.

Ugh . . . I hated those glucose tolerance tests. Those orange drinks totally gagged me!

Me too, they were so sweet and sickly!

And the fact that the midwife could never get any blood out of my arms, so I always got multiple attempts that completely bruised my arms from top to bottom, wasn't brilliant either.

Oh yes. Good point, Fnor.

*contemplates jobs to pawn off onto Fnorrll* :myrddraal:

I was able to drink the glucose stuff alright. It was maybe about 5 minutes after I got it down that the queasiness started setting in and that part sucked.

The blood draw part of the test actually went pretty well, as far as those sort of things go.

Then hubby took me out for breakfast. Getting something more substantial on my stomach than that nasty glucose solution helped.
