"Apple does not make technology devices, they make electronic luxury items." -One of my coworkers said this on Friday and I thought it was awesome!

perfect. i was looking for an electronic luxury device or three to make me what passes for happy in my brain. and so far, so good!

(but please to prepare me for my next purchase, for which i will need very specific instructions, as i desire a net book/pad sot of device that my cats and i will enjoy playing with, and it need not, and probably should not, be apple)

if you will?

pretty please?

see, i was saving for a long time for a house i'm not buying, and i really really need to spend more money that i should at this time. and i have lusts, and it's best for everyone if these are sated in technological devices.

Oh, those aren't good hands, I can tell you that...

That's where you end up when you get fired from real tech support

i suspected. but there i was with the desire to possess Things, and there they were, with the Things i desired... and this is how most of my adolescence went wrong. sigh.

yeah... at least now i can purchase the Things i want outright. though i'm not sure what i agree to when i click on those things setting up....

Yeah, the End User License Agreement always gave me a chill. For some reason I have this fear in my head that one day someone's going to figure out that no one reads those things and put in something evil, as is demonstrated in the XKCD comic below:

but... but there must be something they represent... or why would i want to collect them all?

gosh, i uplevelled here twice, and i don't even get promoted...and i don't know why i care... i think it must be the false secondary gain...

this is like when they stopped gold or silver backing the dollar. it's madness, really.

Yeah, it's just temporary validation but there's no reason not to appreciate it, because it means someone appreciated something you did.
