I remember a lot of my dreams, often one or two every night. I can still remember some dreams from when I was a kid. I love to interpret my dreams. I have learned to know what some symbols means to me. For instance - if I dream of a house (usually my grandparents house) then the dream is about myself. I often dream the same dream over and over until I get what it means, then I never dream it again.

 

I can´t dream about the future like some can/claim to do and I´m happy that I can´t. I think dealing with the present is enough for me.

I rarely remember mine, wish I could remember more, my dreams are usually fun fun fun! Though not always PG-13

One weird? thing I remember about dreaming as a kid was that I could switch dreams, like channels on TV. If I was dreaming something and it went bad like a nightmare I could push it away and go to something else.

 

Now all I dream about are Brownies for some reason.

i mostly know i'm dreaming now, so... no fun, really.

 

but i do remember something about riding horses from way back, now that your avatar mentions it, louii.

i dreamed i was pulled over for, i dunno, maybe speeding. i never get pulled over, not in ... years. but, this was very real. i hope it was just prophetic and not symbolic.

Some dreams I've had over the last few months that have been WoT related:

 

1) Aviendha, Elayne and Egwene were in it. I don't remember much about it besides that Aviendha was reading WoT to learn more about Min ( XD ), and that Egwene was trying to read but had to keep going and stopping the Aes Sedai from doing stuff behind her back. I don't remember Elayne doing much of anything I just know she was in it.

 

2) Brandon Sanderson visited my house, signed all of my books owned by him, drew what he thought the characters looked like... And also was a dentist? I remember something about a dentist's office....

 

3) Mat and Tuon (and Selucia) were at my grandma's house. Someone had died so Tuon and Selucia weren't eating. They'd fasted long enough for what was properly required, but Tuon was trying to continue her fast longer. Mat was insisting she eat something. He offered a peanut butter bar (which I eat for "breakfast" a lot). Selucia was just saying "she already told you she doesn't want anything" when Tuon commented that he'd never tried peanut butter. Selucia glared at Mat as Tuon took it. The peanut butter was a little thicker and stickier than what she was used to drinking so she had trouble swallowing it but Mat got her a glass of milk (and the thing is, he was using one of my Grandma's glasses too!!! It was great!!!!)

 

4) A dream with Harriet in it and she was very nice and hugged me and I cried. I can't for the life of me remember more than that except that I was afraid of her at first

 

5) after that for a few nights in a row I had a dream that I woke up not being able to remember but I had this feeling that it was WoT related

 

6) Perrin and Faile were hiding away on an "underground railroad" of sorts trying to escape a war and for some reason they were taking care of Olver (no mention of Mat)

 

7) a few nights ago I had a dream with Thom and Jack Black in it. I don't remember anything about it except that it was really funny and they went on some sort of quest

Have you ever tried doing silly things in your dreams cindy?

at first i just turned around to see what was chasing me, knowing there was nothing, and ending my nightmares.

 

after that i did everything i wanted to.

 

and then i just got bored.

 

when you knw it's a dream, it's... no fun.

Every time I realize I'm dreaming suddenly I can't move and everything gets really painful and my sight starts to go away and then eventually I'm so focused on that that I forget I'm dreaming and the dream goes on

I would appreciate something like that actually, cindy. A training ground, my own personal sandbox... the possibilities are endless.

start by playing a lot of video games, very richly visual ones that you control (for me this was final fantasy). try to go to sleep remembering a trigger - if i see this, if this happens, i know it's a dream. for me it was running down the stairs a few at a time which i can't do. actually, it was running away from an unseen monster... i just knew i was doing that to myself, and i turned around, and... nothing, cause i didn't put it there. and now all boring.

It's not fun :P

 

Haven't tried the trigger thing before but have heard about it. I wonder if that would work any better....

You dream much more about WoT than I do... I never did, to be honest. But I DID dream about some DM people once.

Indeed. That's also the main reason for me to get control. In a dream, you can do much more than with just thinking at one moment. If you learn to control EACH dream, then you can try things out for hours while resting. For example, you can "write" songs. Just want an instrument to play something, and it does what you want. Do that with multiple instruments and a singer, and you have music. Or when you are writing a book. Each night, you dream a part, and then at day, you write what you have let yourself dream.

Ley all very good ideas. Might have to try out the trigger thing sometime and see if that works any better for me...
