With a new season and a movie.

 

Hurwitz explained that while he has been working on the film screenplay for some time, it didn't give him enough room to touch on what all the characters have been up to since we left them five years ago. So, the limited-run TV series return will act as nine or so spin-off episodes, each taking on a different character's current circumstances. The film will then open with a Bluth reunion. Apparently, a few contractual and scheduling things still have to be ironed out, so no word on a timeline, but at least it's official.

 

It's exciting news, but I'm really doubtful about the writers' ability to match their skill after 8+ years.

They might not be able to capture what they had, but I am over here doing backflips all the same. There's always money in the Banana Stand.
