i'm not sure how someone can write so roboticlaly that they know what percentage done they are with something they're still writing. RJ certainly couldn't have.

what he did was approximate the number of words that the book would be and then just keeps track of how many are written

yeah. robotic. not the RJ wrote, but it was never gonna be that. not the way i ever heard anyone wrote, but i don't know much about writing.

An accomplished writer might be able to predict something like that. Not sure

i'm not sure accomplished is really the write way to describe this particular situation, but. who kows what goes on in anyone's head.

He's written quite a few books that have been read with large amounts of popularity. Harriet obviously thought he was good enough to finish Robert Jordan's work

we all have different definitions of accomplished. and we like what we like. no objective write or wrong here.

Most things depend on a person's definition. Whether a movie was "good" depends on their opinion and definition of "good," as well as how food tastes or how that dress looks or whether there is a correct way of doing something... while there are some things that almost everyone will agree on, most things there will be different opinions on, none of which are necessarily "right".... Such has what a horrible vegetable broccoli is :P

i love broccoli. and care not for pupularity to make personal choices.
