i hung around the WOT discussion till i was good and sick of it, joined Sg for an irresistable bundle of points, started posting here for weeks cause it was fun, and finally got talked into signing up by talmanes, who is very persuasive.

Well, I was only two when DM was created, lol. I started reading WoT in 2010, and also looked around at Wikipedia. But I just didn't think about that there could maybe be other WoT sites, and when I did, I first found WoT wikia, and then Theoryland. And then came DM. I just spammed (I accidentally wrote that) posted a bit at the WoT discussion, then found the RP (I should really do more there), and a few days later the Black Tower.

 

You don't want to know how different it was then. You could say that there was as much activity as I make here on my own... Really. You just had Locke, Ed, Tina, Talmanes and Talya. And only Locke was a spammer.

i've seen you and naked frog and mmesh as well as locke spam grandly on their own.

In the 100 000 post thread maybe... But multiposting there only really started after I joined...

it's not that common outside that thread even now. but i've always felt free to add extra thoughts after i post anywehre, so i never knew it was considered bad form.

This forum, at least in the sg's doesn't seem overly strict about double posting. I've seen some forums give out warnings and make you go back and edit you old posts to add new content.

one of the biggest reasons i don;t much like most of the other orgs. this is supposed to be a fun thing to do. i want that kind of controlling crap, i just work.
