I was just in some random business meeting and the guy who was leading it said at one point when we were discussing a problem that would be very difficult/costly to solve, and really should just be ignored...

Jordan put tons of real life stuff in the books. Like the Angreal that was shaped like a hippie at Woodstock. I believe it was described as a naked woman sitting cross legged with her hair covering her breasts and her holding up one had with the middle and index finger held out in a v shape. Sounds like a hippie at Woodstock to me.

 

I once had a supervisor say the wheel goes round and round. Referring to how the company was operating. Of course that is a vague reference. It caused me to think of the WOT.

I had a lecturer this year who said his teacher used to say things were intuitively obvious. It made me wonder if RJ ever taught anywhere
