Hi everyone, pretty old fan of the series, had the books sitting in storage for a long while, just recently got them out again, and reading them with the mindset of a 22 year old rather than a 15 (maybe) year old, has made me appreciate them so much more, only problem with the books is no one i know reads them D: So its nice to find a community dedicated to what i consider the best fantasy epic ever written, anyway, cheers guys!

Hi Trolloc's Cook Pot, welcome to DM! :D

I'm glad you decided to join! Who is your favourite character?

Have fun exploring Dragonmount, and if you have any questions ask away :)

I hope you love it here

Hey!, Thanks for the welcome, as for favourite character, I think the whole Aiel Race (excluding those sneaky shaido of course) is my fav, they are just too badass :D

Yeah, defo, and after reading TSR with its description of what the Aiel go through during the breaking to become what they are in the books, heart breaking stuff.

For me, especially heartbreaking when you think about...

...what Avi sees about the possible future of the Aiel through the ter'angreal in Rhuidean.

(ToM spoilers :))

Haven't got that far yet, only have the books up to and including TPoD, but considering how much i love the Aiel, and that little titbit, it wont be long untill i have read it :D.

Heh, that's what the spoiler thingy is for :myrddraal:

I sometimes wish I hadn't already read the books, then I could get to read them for the first time all over again :)

hahaha yeah, i noticed the spoiler, but didn't notice the "ToM" bit lol. But thankfully, it was a spoiler only in that it made me want to read on, just so i can find out, and i can certainly agree with that, the 6 or so years between my readings have made it so that although i know the general story, its almost new, and of course i have the books i haven't actually read yet to come :D :D :D

I still find stuff I never noticed before on every read through. Tiny things mostly, like a brief mention of Elyas and his Aes Sedai in The New Spring. I think I squee'ed like a girl

Anyhoo, welcome to DM!

Welcome to DM Cook Pot! :D

Who is your least-favourite character? And who's your favourite Forsaken?

Feel free to ask if you've got any questions!

I hope you will like it here!

Which parts have been your favorites?

Haha that need of someone to talk to is what brought most of us here :)P

Welcome to dm!!!

If you have any questions just ask :D

Jordan created an amazing culture with the Aiel. They are reminiscent of the Fremen from Frank Herbert's Dune. I think it's cool to see influences from previous great authors in any modern literary work. I absolutely LOVE the WoT series and re-read the entire series evertime a new book is due to come out, so it is all fresh in my head. LOL
