So, what do y'all play? PC? Platform? Which platform?

Favorite games?

We have two computers and a PS2. On PS2 I like the action/rpg type of game, no first person shooters though. Those drive me nuts since I've never figured out how to use the controls. Chris and I have a lot of martial arts games too... several Soul Calibur titles, some Mortal Kombat, a few others. My favorite that I've played in the last couple of years was The Bard's Tale... the bard being voiced by Cary Elwes.

On the computer I play Sims 2 ad nauseum (I have all the expansions and stuff packs). I have an addiction problem :D ... I'm even into the whole storytelling aspect of it though I haven't started making videos yet.

Xbox 360 - Tiger Woods 07, GRAW, and Oblivion. I am anxiously awaiting my new passion in gaming... Gears of War.

I just sold my PS2 and all it's games. I also just found my n64 with many games. I laughed because it hasn't come out of it's box in YEARS.

I prefer playing on PC. Lately I've mostly been playing Battlefield 2, and have been thinking about trying out BF 2142, but my PC isn't good enough. :(

I also like the Total War series. Can't wait for Medieval 2: Total War, but I'm gonna need a new PC for that game too.

I also have a PS2, but I rarely use it, cus I don't have many games for it.

Hi, I am Majsju, and I'm a Sim City addict.

Other than that, still totally love WC3 and D2. But I can't play any of those now, unless I fix up my PC a bit. I'm thinking about replacing one of the harddrives, that should give enough of a boost, I think.

On xbox, I still have a soft spot for Baldur's gate, though recently there's been a lot of Resident Evil 4. That games scares the eyebrows of you if you play it after a couple of beer :D

Interestingly, the original Baldur's Gate series is what got me hooked on D&D...

We (Chris and I) played thru the entire Baldur's Gate for PS2 series together, and the X-Men games (cooperative team-play) as well.

He still plays Morrowind a fair bit... he's got it set up so that it displays on the TV when he plays on the laptop and he uses a gamepad as well.

I've only played the last version of BG on xbox, but it was a most excellent game that I still enjoy even though I think I've done pretty much everything that can be done on it.

PC -

I have an old PC... A 1 Gig Athlon that is six years old, with an Nvidia Geforce 3 Ti 500 card. It won't won't play most new top end games, but it will play most PS2 and Xbox ports if you turn the settings down.

Since this summer I've played Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast, Riven, and The Wheel of Time. I am currently playing Grand Theft Auto III.

GameCube -

Since Christmas I have finished Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, and WWE Day of Reckoning. I'm currently occasionally playing Mario Kart Double Dash, and will hopefully soon start 007: Everything or Nothing.

N64 -

Got the N64 out back in Aug and finished up the last few levels of Goldeneye: 007 (which I had never finished years before) before playing and beating The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time. Then, upon finding out that there were a couple of hidden levels in Goldeneye if you beat the game on Secrent Agent and 00 Agent modes, I played thru most of the game with the invincibility mode on and then those levels too. Toyed around with WCW vs. NWO World Tour, and WCW/NWO Revenge the other day before packing up the N64 and in it's place getting out the...

NES -

played Donkey Kong on the Donkey Kong classics cart the other day, using the NES Advantage controller for that authentic arcade feel... After I faff around with that game a bit more I plan on playing thru all 3 Super Mario Bros. games, Castlevania, and The Legend of Zelda. After that I'll dig out Metroid, and maybe the Ninja Gaiden trilogy. I wouldn't mind reacquiring Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (which my brother pawned back in the day) and giving it a whirl too.

  • 3 weeks later...

For me it all Playstation, all the time.

A few weeks ago I was at Best Buy when I saw Final Fantasy XII. When I concluded that it wasn't a net game I bought, almost running to checkout. I also like RE4 and the Medal of Honor game. I also enjoy platformers like Jak and Sly Cooper series. Last year was was addicted to the Sims 2 for a while, but got tired off just making all the sims have sex with each other.

I also have a PSP and recently bought Hots Shots Golf, Tekken, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for it. Great games all.

I have no plans to buy a PS3 in the immediate future.
