I'm in the market for a new car at some point next year. I was wondering if you have any good suggestions. I like a car that has pick up, good gas mileage, decent sized, not an SUV or truck.

I'm a firm believer in gas milage being relative to saving actual time on the road.

And for anyone who also appreciates a nice looking rear end....

The cougar had great tail lights, but wasn't rounded enough.

The new model mustang borrowed the cougars turn signal flashing.

the cougar was a fine, gorgeous, fast animal. and so needy it got my mom the mechanic she married.

stolen 4 times in 2 months so we had to get rid of her.

mom cried.

she didn't cry when i moved out.

Get a 2013 GT 500. Six hundred and fifty horses fall right into my time vs mpg category.

i take a longer trip hom and keep it in the sweet zone between 45 and 55, and save 50% of the gas though i'm doing 25% more miles and taking a good deal longer to get home. weird but true.

I figure my time is worth more than the couple bucks i'd save.

If I save a half hour a day by doing 80-90 both ways then I save myself 2 and a half hours of drive time. That 2.5 is worth more than 35-50 dollars.

i can't drive that fast anymore. too many crashes, don't want to take anyone with me when i have the next one. and it wouldn't save me that kind of time. and even if it did, meh. i'm happy in the car.
