And yes, I think the Light needs to take full responsibility for the Shadow. We would not exist without them after all. The brighter they shine, the darker we turn.

 

That sounds like the followers of Rh'llor in the Song of Ice and Fire series. That's

what they say about shadows. Melisandre would be perfect here.

I have never read that series, although I did watch the TV series and really enjoyed it.
