Today is National Children's Day! I thought it might be fun to play : kids say the darnedest things! Have you heard a kid say something funny? Read a joke about kids misunderstanding or mispronouncing something? Come on in and share!

Today, Peanut informed me that she likes cats ("they're so cute!"), but that she wanted a dog. Why? "Because dogs are happy and cats are mad."

I get this all of the time but am too tired to think of examples right now. Will probably have some tomorrow--working in the nursery in the morning :D

We are at the grocery store today and Peanut demands to ride in the cart that looks like a spaceship. One of the guys stocking the shelves asks her if she's going to fly into outer space. Peanut's answer? "No, I'm just going this way," and points down the isle.

I ended up not going to the nursery, but my 5 year old brother has been peppering me with kisses ever since I got home :)
