thundersnow

this is a relative new one on me. never experienced it till the early 90s, and only rarely since then. this year it's happening all the time. thundersnow. snowing, and thundering at the same time. it's scaring the crap out of me.

do you all get this stuff too, or is god just pointing it at my house?

cause i could understand that, and i'm prepared to start repenting at some point... just would rather not waste it on a natural phenomenon.

I have not experienced the thundersnow - it looks freaky, but have lived through hurricanes and have seen lots of tornadoes.

I'm in tornado/flood country here. Flooding is not nearly as much of a problem as a tornado but there was one rather bad flood I was in somewhere else once... At least it's really bad in my memory, but I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 at the time. I just remember the water being nearly up to my dad's knees and the rain and thunder wouldn't stop

We don't get too much of that crazy weather out here. The only thing is the Earthquakes, but they just happen when they want and then they are over after a few seconds or 15 or so.

we have many bad floods here now and the infrastructure gets worse with each one cause the roads wash away and only get patched if that. tornadoes but usually not massive ones. only one earthquake very recently, but supposedly the risk of earthquake here is higher than for tornadoes, we just usually don't notice them

that is my preferred type of earthquake. I'd just as soon the ground stays put.

no thundersnow today.

weve entered the part of winter where it snows every morning and ices every night.

in between the ground melts to mud and refreezes to interesting crevasses and such.

more on the weather as it occurs.

Meanwhile, here in the midwest, there is snow on the ground but it's supposed to reach the mid to high 50s by this afternoon so bye-bye snow. My room was still freezing when I woke up this morning. Silly corner room

what kind of scary weather do you have a lot of?

Worst (or, in my case, best) weather I've ever seen, was 20 inch of snow. Equal to 2 inch of rain...

I'm happy we don't have hurricanes or tornadoes. I don't think I would have a problem with thundersnow, however. As long as I am inside, as usually with thunder.

its dangerous to be on the computer in electrical storms but that never stops me. or you im sure.

sounds like you have a nice climate.

Well, while we never have really much rain at one day, there are many raindays here. Yeah, and we have wind, of course.

*hears the wind blowing*

And I'm never on my pc with thunderstorm. I am looking out of the window. Not to mention that I have a laptop, so I could work on accu, without any danger left (afaik).

i never heard laptops or cordless phones kept you safe, but i take the risk either way.

i think we may have more rain but we have droughts someimes so maybe it evens out.

same today as yesterday but much more snow and ice. not enough to stop anything like school or work, just enough to wish it would stp.
