It's cold here today, going to get some rain tomorrow with temperatures dropping so ice just in time for New Year's Eve.

I know, my birthday is at a bad time of the year. Frigid and spring break.

i stopped celebrating those a long time ago. always an option

i never heard laptops or cordless phones kept you safe, but i take the risk either way.

 

i think we may have more rain but we have droughts someimes so maybe it evens out.

 

same today as yesterday but much more snow and ice. not enough to stop anything like school or work, just enough to wish it would stp.

 

I once had 3 days no school, because we had 20 inch (50 cm) of snow in one night... Sometimes I just love the weather...

you must not have the plows ready to handle it. they can deal with that much snow here with one day school cancellation. but they dont like to pay OT anymore, so if it keeps snowing, they dont keep plowing and the kids get a few days. which they have to make up later, so not such a deal.

We also have to make it up later. But back in 2005, it was eight or nine years ago we got that much snow. And two of the three days were because I lived 40 km from school, and while there was normally a small bus to bring people from the town I lived to school, they decided not to go. The last day the school was offically closed.

yeah, its the school buses that determine everything including whether theyll plow. im afraid to look out my window right now. schools out anyway so if they plowed the side road itll be a miracle.... ok, and theres the snow gos... never a good sign.

What do you do when you can't go outside? Do you play Games (notice the capital).

i dont go outside unless i have to. i do stuff and things but mostly this.

I don't think you ever do something else than DM...

 

And I just saw some early firework...

i multitask at times. but mostly here whatever else i manage to get done.

 

if i had a life i'd be engaged in it probably. maybe. possibly. at times. now and then. with DM running in the background.

It's too warm here. At least it'll be good weather for midnight capture the flag if we play it. We might not because 3 of the cousins that usually play it aren't going to be here. It's not as fun with itty bitty teams

i do go out to watch fireworks the kids set off so maybe on new years i will leave the house for a little while voluntarily. and i drive for no reason so i may do that but i drive in a car so thats not really outdoors.

no fireworks :(
