Having some threads going on this board, maybe stickied, maybe not, to discuss other authors? We could have, say, a GRRM thread and a Robin Hobb thread, etc.

If its an active thread, I don't see why it needs to be stickied. The activity will keep it where people can see it. I think stickies on this board should be DM wide announcements.

I like the idea, especially in regards to Robin Hobb.

 

Funny, I'm rereading the Farseer right now, as I do about once a year, and as always, I'm so into that now that I've pretty much been completely ignoring the book discussion threads here, so wrapped up am I in Fitz's antics.

 

I had just been thinking that this would be a cool thing. I am totally for this.

That sounds like a good idea!!! And one I would check often!

i think that it is a good idea as well. allows for us to appreciate WoT as well as other authors and maybe to do comparisons in text styles and the like.
