Hugo worthy books/ stories?

The Hugo award nomination period is starting up soon and I must admit that I've not read many new books in 2011. The new ones I did read, are not ones that I'd consider nominating (though I did enjoy them). Anyone have any suggestions for something I should read before I decide what to nominate?

So no one read anything good in 2011? Sad.

R. Scott Bakker "White Luck Warrior"

Erin Morgenstern "Night Circus"

Richard Morgan "Cold Commands"

I read ADWD. I don't intend to nominate it. I enjoyed reading it, but I don't feel like it advanced the genre. That said, I intend to nominate at least one episode of the TV adaption for a Best Dramatic Presentation (short form).

The Magician King by Lev Grossman, I'm not done reading it yet, but loving it so far.

That book isn't eligible. I actually got a copy of it in my Hugo voter packet last year. Lev won the Campbell Award, so he was included with the other nominees.

In other news, apparently you have good taste.
