Except for roleplays, I don't believe there is anywhere on this site for posting fanfic. So if you have any, or want to read some, may I suggest http://fanfiction.net , a flaming awesome site?

Robert Jordan (and his lawyers!) frown on fanfic. Thats why we don't offer any here.

Are you saying that posting WoT stories on fanfiction.net is illegal? :? RJ could tell them not to allow fanfic of his stories; plenty of authors have. And most people include disclaimers.

Its my understanding that all fanfic is illegal. However, some franchise owners tolerate some fanfic. The amount varies greatly. "Tolerated use" is a very murky area in copyright law, but the copyright holder can demand you stop using their property. Its my impression that the amount of pure WoT fanfic floating around is pretty small and not worth sending the lawyers out. It may not have even occurred to Jordan's people to check fanfiction.net for WoT stories. But we do know that he and they read this site, so there is no fanfic here. Except the roleplay, of course.

Posting links to that site is fine. I just wanted to explain why we don't allow fanfic here. =)
