I've read The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett, many years ago. I was wondering if any of you that are Pratchett fans would recommend the movie The Color of Magic.

It seems its based off said book as well as another book which I haven't read, Light Fantastic. And although I can Google a movie review, I much prefer asking people with similar tastes. And.everyone here doesn't always agree, but at least we all have one opinion in.common, and.that's better than going it blind.

So anyone seen this movie and what did you think?

Kids movie?

they're OK... i'd have to watch again to guage the rating. they're not the books but they are enjoyable if you like the books.

 

my fav was hogfather.

It's not a kid's typical movie - unless you would consider "The Colour of Magic" to be a kid's book. It's OK, and an enjoyable watch (with a great Rincewind) but it obviously can't do Terry Pratchett's book justice.

I haven't seen the movie but I thought the movie for "Going Postal" was excellent.

Not for kids. I think they would watch it and maybe enjoy some of it but it's not aimed at kids and they would defiantly miss most of it

 

I thought all the movies were pretty darn good considering they weren't big budget
