Hello everyone,

I do not usually join these. But I have to say,I have been sucked into the Robert Jordan world pretty hard. I am on the fith book (The Fires of Heaven). If I keep up the pace that I am at now, I may find myself telling my friends to "walk in the light" or use "burn me to bloody ashes" as part of my every day vocabulary. I think I actually called my wife "My heart" last night. Hmmmm, Maybe I should take a break. You are all welome to my fires...OH GOD! I meant..., Light what am I saying? Gah! I did it again! I have to go and talk to someone. Hope you all have a great day!

:lol: Welcome, Graikos! Those books can be pretty compelling...I just started Winter's Heart at the library and then had to go off to college, GRRRR. Lots of people here use WoT vocabulary--and much more. For a major laugh on that topic, I suggest the thread "You know you're addicted to WoT when..." on the general discussion board.

If you're only on book five, I'd try and steer clear of most of the discussion, you should probably just start your own and explain how far you've read. Unless you don't mind spoilers.

 

Welcome to DM! Glad you found us. And I know you'll enjoy all the books you have left to read.

Don't feel bad. Whenever my husband or I have to conceed a point to the other, we usually yell "I wan AGAIN Lews Therrin!" to just drive the point home. We're horribly nerdy at our house.

Thanks everyone! I learned the hard way about reading the forums. Found out a couple of things I did not intend on seeing. Oh well. I will have to catch up so I can enjoy this site. I only wonder what I am going to read when I am done with these. Maybe I will reread them all :)

dont feel bad i DO talk like they do in WOT. Flaming and blood and ashes and OH light and all thative told my teacher that you can never go so far into the shadow that you cant be brought back to the light and he looked at me funny, it was when we were discussing the death penalty.
