Year of the Dragon

Featured Replies

Hey, the final book of the Wheel of Time is due to come out this year and, in the Chinese calendar, this is the Year of the Dragon.

That's kind of cool.

a neat coincidence...i wonder if they timed it so this would occur :D

Possibly. Is there a Year of the Wolf 26 years from now? If so, that would also explain the timing of the releases of the Song of Ice and Fire books.

With a ta'veren nearby, there are no coincidences.

Sadly, year 2038 is the year of the horse. As for this year of tha dragon, I had not even noticed. I dont look at the chinese calendar much but thats pretty good timing non-the-less.

Well played.

Coincidence? I think not.

Also a lot of the doomsday prophecies predict the end of the world in 2012.

Good times.
