I don't think that would work lol you'd prolly have to balefire the area that the hair pholocules grew and the cutical of the nail which would take part of you finger off

Balefire affects threads in the Pattern, so unless a hair or nail counts as a separate thread from the person it is atached too, all you'll end up with is singed hair at best (it's the fashion these days, all the best people are doing it) or being balefired yourself most likely. Also, even if it was possible in theory, what if the barber/manicurist cocks things up a little? Would you risk being stuck with the same bad haircut forever?

See, my question is, where would you find someone cabable of using balefire willing to cut your hair? Unless Balefire is just the newest brand of scissors.

Hair grows from the roots, not the tips. Balefiring the tips off would not prevent the roots from growing.

Balefire burns the victims thread in the pattern upon contact. The connection between a person and the OP is not a physical connection per say, so there is no way for balefire to really touch the person through their connection to the OP.
