I believe the finns answer, to live u must die, refers to rand appearing to die at the last battle.

 

i think alivia will use the mirror of mists to make rand appear dead when he is in fact not dead.

 

this also would explain Logain leaning over a dead rand and the face crumbling.. as we know that the mirror of mists does not stand up to being touched.
