'Alaksuleil' is a bit of a bugger to try and include in a haiku. How many syllables are there in it, anyway?

the l at the end makes that impossible the l will cause there to be a 5th syllable

Not so. What about the word 'hail'? We don't say hay - ill, but slur it together.

 

That's not to get into German words: Eile, for example, which means hurry. In German, one says the dipthong 'ei' as we say the 'ie' sound in 'die'. (The Germans say 'die' more like 'dee', which is weird for English speakers). This is one way I could see Eli's last syllable being pronounced, as well.
