I've been coming to this site for a couple of years, but didn't decide to join the forum until now. I started reading the WOT series in fifth grade... just couldn't put it down. I'm really looking forward to the conclusion of the series. Any chance they do more later on?

Anyways... I look forward to good conversations/debates in the future.

Alas i was at a Brandon Event last wednesday and he stated they will NOT!!! be doing thew prequels or outriggers. they thought about it but decided they didnt want a future with 40 WoT books so they are cutting the cord after AMOL

Good question. I read through the books at different times in my life. Seems I identify with different characters every time. If you put a spear to my head, I guess I like Perrin the best.

In the earlier books I hated Nynaeve, but I've really come around after reading later books. She's developed nicely as a character. Plus as a kid she reminded me of one of my teachers. Angry 80% of the time and completely stressed out.

For minor characters I'll go Nicola Treehill for hate and Jahar Narishma for like. I like the scene after Jahar retrieved Callandor for Rand and he forgot to tell him about the inverted weaves. He's like, "Dude!" lol

Hi and welcome spoonfish! I'm the same with Nynaeve, I wasn't a big fan of hers on my first read of the series, but she's probably my favorite female character now. It's interesting, because I first read the series in junior high/high school, and now I'm 10 years older, so a lot of my opinions on different characters have changed. I really hated Moiraine at first, because I was a teenager, like the boys, so I really identified with them and the way they felt about Moiraine. Now that I'm older, I love Moiraine, and identify with her much more.

Welcome, spoonfish!!

I'd like to second Dice's suggestion to check out the social groups - it's a great way to make new friends and there's a lot of fun to be had...

I'm a big fan of Nynaeve myself -- I didn't start reading the books until a few years ago, and read straight through to TGS on my first readthrough, so I never went through the initial dislike of her character that a lot of people have. She's amusing in a lot of ways, and so fiercely loyal and strong.

Oh, and I love Narishma as a minor character as well, and agree with you on Nicola. Great choices!
