SD, i dunno, the guys just gives me really big SK vibes.

i can see where Nol would get the "fan girl" angle from him; the cutting off Dex's credit cards could have been a bid to get attention since Dex has been ignoring him and the note with the hand just didn't work.

but i'm getting more of a toy/stalk feeling from him tbh. the approach at freedom, the taunt with the game, the knowledge of the bay harbor butcher and the heavy handed hint last season that he knows it was Dex, the dating Dex's nanny, snooping in Dexs side of the apt and honestly i think he as sitting there waiting to be caught. every season has also dealt with Dex tryign to get a friend, soemoen who understands him and will accept him and his dark passenger. i feel like this guy, is doing the same. that he wants to be with Dex in that way, but feels the need to either have power over Dex in some fashion or impress Dex.

Dex however, is well beyond the "i need a friend" stage and will only see this guy as a threat. i'm very intersted to see how this all plays out though.

SD that is an interesting angle, adopted brother, or mentee, of Dexs brother. but why did it take him so long to come forward and approach Dex?? i woudl think that if this was the case, the guy would have been, atleast in the background, since season 1.

yeah, i'm not sure where the mob angle will go, i'm personally more interested in the Deb/Dex angle and the angle with the "stalker" dude

i disagree about Dex pining the BHB on Deb. Dex only does that when he's killed the one he's pinned it on (ie: Dokes), i can't see Dex killing Deb either, i do however see him getting her on his table, about to do it, deciding he cant and then fleeing. i really think this will end with Deb having to kill Dex; we're already starting to see Dexs control break down greatly, and i just dont see this Deb helping him out.

Does he feel darker to you than the last few seasons?

I was like damn Dex is ready to kill at a moments notice

not darker, more chaotic, less in control. and if you got that from him, then you didn't listen to Dex's explination abotu killing. for him he needed to kill because it gave him control, it's his "Zen" thing; the activity he does to center him and make sense of it all and calm him down.

- Deb trying to "Cure" Dex

Eh?

the having him move in with her, the "i still think theres good in you". she's goign to try to cure Dex, and she's goign to smuther him, which is goign to have the exact opposite effect and drive him to be more chaotic.

and the female thats returning ... whose she? i thought he went to London and killed the female SK chick o.0

Who are you talking about? Batista's uhhh daughter/sister? (I forget which she is)

no, i'm not talking abotu Bitista's sister. this was in the next episode preview. Dex asked how she found him and she said "Google"

also, focusing on the "this season on Dex" promo at the end. WTF was up with Deb in a tub killd Trinity style 0.0

I didn't watch that lol

Probably a fantasy of either Dexter's or hers

yeah i could see that as Dex's fantasy. which only goes to see how much control he's goign to lose.

Oh, I wasn't saying I think he's going to kill Deb. I was just saying that I HOPE Showtime doesn't try to do that for the twist ending.

Or Worse yet. Dex's stalker, puts Deb on HIS Table. (Remember, Deb was going to be the icetruck killers last victim. And what better way,f or a guy that's copycatting both Dex & The ITK, than to try to fiinish what they started. (I can also see, and I really don't want them to Off Deb, is him using the room Dex prepared, and have her on the table, when he enters it.)

the gammer guy has balls, i'll give him that. but i think Dex's decision not to killl him is gonna come back and bite him big time.

i think at this point, my gut feelign on this guy is right; that he's a SK. SD, you may have something in reguards to him being connected with Dexs brother; what was up with that video diary about Dex that we saw for a few seconds. i find it hard to believe that sort of reaction is over Dex shrugging off the game. imo, if this guy was messing with Dex to reach out and prove himself worthy of Dexs attention ... well his intentions will switch now with Dex having abducted him and stuff.

whats also interesting is that right before Dex stuck him with the needle, he seemed to know that soemthign wasn't right, felt that he was being stalked. he glanced over his shoulder, most of Dexs victims are oblivious, this guy wasn't ... Trinity wasn't either.

whats also interesting is Dex actually giving Debs program a chance, and how his Dark Passenger is reacting to this through Harry. i happen to agree that this is futile ... i wonder what Deb will do when she figures this out.

He probably has set up a cam to catch Dexter in the act and will blackmail him in the future with the footage, the visit and taunting earlier was just to obvious to not be a baiting attempt.

The "supposed" title to the final episode, coupled with LaGuerta's (sp?) actions, honestly make me think that Doaks might in fact still be alive. It seems that LaGuerta thinks he is alive and killing again, so I have a feeling she is going to go looking for him on her own, and quite possibly find him.

well that pain in the ass was tied up nicely.

i wonder if he was able to accomplish his goal with Dex's boat though ...

and it looks like Deb is slowly comming to Harry's way of thinking about Dex. still uncomfy about Deb in the bathtub Trinity style though

So, I'm almost postive, that Debra, in tonights episode, poisoned herself, to make Dexter lose his faith in Blondie, and thus, turn her in.

Still wondering if the Preview where dowks(Sp?) saying "suprise motha F***a" is actually him, or simply a flash-back/another harry?

Can't freaking WAIT till next sunday!

I was thinking the exact same thing about the poison.  Also, was thinking the exact same thing about Doakes ( I think that's how it's spelled).  But I remember being told by someone here at the beginning of the season that I was crazy to think he might still be alive.  4 more days and we shall see!

Didn't they find his body and wasn't it identifiable? It would have to be like his dad. Probably how he justifies going against the code or something like that. Like his fear that his misstep will bring him down just like doakes wanted.

I don't remember about finding a body, but most likely you're right and it's just something in his head.  Been awhile since I've watched the first few seasons.

Just finished catching up on the season

ummmm

I dunno it all felt kind of weird

They introduced the bad guy and then killed him off before the season ended

And Dexter fell in love...and then sent his love to jail? And she broke out to do...what?

I dunno the season felt very disjointed but it was pretty awesome that La Guerta put some pressure on Dexter again

My fondest memories of the series are season 2 when Dexter is pushed to his limits with Doakes on his case so it was cool to get that feeling back again

I wonder what the final season is gonna be like

I'm guessing that Dexter is going to have to die

He's not only abandoned the code but he's accepted that there is no "dark passenger" he is killing people just because he likes it

If he wasn't ever the "bad guy" before he is now

I've sort of come to terms with that theory for next season and honestly what I lived about dexter was run through a grinder this season. It was actually a little hard to keeping watching. I was never a fan if deb really, for a number of reasons but next season will be hers. I want to see what she goes through now. I can see what happened this last episode pulling things back to have dexter pull him self together but there a lot of loose ends to tidy up and I don't know how well he can do it. I hope for the sake of the show he at least manages to protect everyone that needs protecting before he goes down for it and yeah part of me hopes he fakes his death and walks away in to the sunshine. Or preferably he stays legally alive and walks out I to the sunset with his kids and leaves town/gives it up. But I can see how the tv show should have him caught or dead to pass on the message to viewers that no matter how good at bring bad you are being bad will always lose in the long run.

Totally agree here.  Dexter's love interests are always the most boring and incongruous part of the show.  I'm really sick of them and I wish they'd just stop.  Rita was the last one that didn't at least feel like filler fantasy, and she was still boring.

Dexter is way over the line at this point.  I think he has been for a few seasons at least, but it's inarguable now.  I'm ready to see him die or get caught if this show's going to reacquire the most remote amount of realism.  When I think about how meticulous the first season was about him being a forensics expert and not leaving any trace and compare it to the last few season's haphazard silliness it's clear that this show has lost what it had going for it.  It used to be creepy and now it's just silly.
