It's been awhile since I've read WOT. In fact, I'm waiting for the finalization of the series, then I will go back and read them all at in a row again. Something has been nagging me though. I'm in the military and recently took a POW course. Something I heard there brought some things from WoT back to me. I remember a lesson that kinda unfolded for me. It goes something like this:

 

What can't be changed, must be endured.

What must be endured, can be endured.

 

I seem to remember a third line to that, but I can't remember what it is. Does anyone have any suggestions? Spoilers are okay if necessary. Thanks!
