I know it's hard to go through all of someone's posts and NOT think (s)he's mafia

I used to do this method quite a bit when I first started playing mafia and I wouldn't always come to the conclusion that the player is mafia so I don't know why you think it would be the case that looking at all of someones posts somehow makes them seem "more mafia" than if...you only go through some of their posts? I don't really get how looking at the bigger picture somehow gives you an inaccurate view.

 

My problem with it is that you turned the reasoning process around: you chose Volke for some reason (his inactivity), and you vote him for that reason.

Can you show me where your case study on his posts has given you something which both makes him mafia AND was not part of the reason you chose him? If not, it's a false reasoning (as it seems to me).

I looked volke because I remembered he voted me earlier and the second time he voted me just felt really off. I didn't start with the conclusion that he was mafia. Like I noted in my case he was flying under the radar. That includes for me too. I hadn't even noticed him until his second vote on me.

 

Oh, and being inactive is not a good reason to vote someone. That may be a good reason for mafia to kill.

I agree. A mod should take care of someone who is truly inactive, not the town. However volke hasn't been inactive he just hasn't contributed. Those are too very different things.

A better way to put it would to say you misquote me often. You say that I said one thing when I actually said something completely different. And it just so happens that what YOU say I said always happens to sound bad/suspicious.

*blinks* Sorry If I spam a bit. But it is my first time playing Mafia. And my random votes for the most part have been to see what happens. Still getting a feel for it lol.

If that's true I'm sorry for coming at you so hard. Having said that, I'm still not going to let you slide by on a newbie pass. Besides I think the best way to learn how to play a game better is to play with people better than you and try to get up to their level.

Lesson for this game whether you're town or mafia: Try to stay more involved. Spam is acceptable as long as it's not ALL you do. Contribute to discussions. You don't have to necessarily be the person coming up with ideas as long as you comment on them and let people know where you stand.

 

And Nolder your very interesting. Remind me to debate with you sometime, if we both get caught up in a topic I know about.

I don't think "do" has to necessarily be in every sentence, it's just that it's in a lot of their sentences *needs to get far enough into her reread that she can review Illianer speech*
