Mmm I know what you mean...I had to drop 'normal' history for this year cos my teacher thought it'd be too much workload. At the external end of year exams we have to write up to five 600 word essays in 3 hours >.<

Of course I'm one of teh shtoopid lemmings who have to sign up for every paper :darkone:

what do you mean every paper?

Every paper/essay offered for a subject, whereas most people only do 2-3 for each, I get 4-5 :madmyrddraal: My parents think it'd look good on my report >.<

your parents are silly

Tell me bout it :P

Oh well, they may be shtrict but they've given me a good upbringing. Besides, only half a year to go then I can make my own decisions without interference  YARR!

you won't know if it was a good upbringing for thirty years. but it's nice of you to give them the benefit the doubt.

Thanks for that advice... >.>

 I'll start preparing then :P

I'm meeting some inspiring people here...there's Juan, who's fast become a good friend from the first day when he appointed himself the official translator on the football pitch  He speaks a bit of english and wants to learn more, so now I teach him English in return for Spanish lessons. It's loads of fun cos what we're mainly doing is jamming out on his guitar and singing hits and Chilean music. Yarr, I'm getting free singing lessons too :P

But check it out, this guy is awesome. In August he's about to leave Arica and go live further south with his mom. It's a huge step for a 19-yr-old, especially since he has to ditch Uni, and only met his mother last year. Abandoned at 1 to an orphanage, he was adopted and raised by his grandfather. At teh he started working - really, working, not just for pocket money - to earn the money for his family (half-brothers, grandfather, uncles, and their apartment rent etc). Now he's pretty much the main supplier for all his family's needs.

But he's not given up, he's got dreams aye. When he moves south, he'll sign a 2-year contract - first four months competing on Chilean X-Factor, then singing for a TV series/show here. It's just so cool meeting young people, who've been through so much, and really pursue their dreams. These people inspire me, and enrich my life so much by showing me how you can't EVER let obstacles block you in life. I hope I can ever honor these friends by being even half so dedicated and strong as they

Here's his youtube channel, if anyone's interested. "No puedo ser tu amigo" is his first self-written song with a friend.

I am NOT posting our recordings of Someone Like You and Bruno Mars songs  We don't wanna scare the cats away with moi caterwauling.
