Seriously man. I'm so sick of LA getting EVERY high-profile free agent that comes along! Can't Stern veto this one as well?!

    I love sport threads! I like Nash. What was the deal about him and Toronto? I was watching the

    news today and it said something like he was to be the Canadian Ambassador of Basketball. O_o

     

    I like Toronto and the French fries with brown gravy and cold cheese curds btw. :P

    That musta been rough rooting for the Spurs in Oklahoma, I take it there was some family division or something like that?

     

    The Laker's Hater in me wants to think Nash and Kobe won't get along, but the realist in me knows this makes the Lakers better, even if only marginally so. AND they still might even get Dwight Howard :darkone:

    I know! For like a whole month I saw nothing but Thunder jerseys on people that never watched

    basketball a day in their lives. Even my NEPHEW was rooting for them.

     

    If the Lakers get Dwight Howard I'm going have to do a lot more rooting for OKC.

    Yeah, I don't think that Nash helps them get a ring either. Between Bynum's poor focus and Gasol's soft postseason play, Lakers still won't get anywhere past 2nd round.

     

    With D12 tho...

    Nash to Lakers I think its gonna make quite a difference though but, honestly, I think it depends wholly on the synergy. If Kobe and Nash don't sync well with one another then it's going to be the same sort of thing that happened for the Knicks with Melo. But, Nash has gotta be one of the best PG's in the league and is completely unselfish with the ball so I'm banking my argument on the fact that Kobe is going to be a ball-hog :) Difficult to change playstyle over just the summer. So maybe not next year..

     

    Pleaaaaase D12 to the Knicks :P

    I dunno man. Their offense is gonna be pretty hard to stop, and with Nash and Gasol dishing out crazy little hockey assist plays, you'll see some stuff from the Lakers that doesn't get seen very often. Nash gives up a lot on defense, true, but as Bynum continues to develop he's getting better and better at sealing off drives to the paint, and he has another 7 footer to back him up.

     

    One of the things tho, is that they still haven't addressed a key need for the team, and that's depth. It seems like they're gonna do one more trade with Gasol, but as of now they still have almost no bench.

    It's kind of a bizarre story, because it both makes complete sense for NY to have declined to match the offer (would have been paying 30 mil + for Lin his third year, he's just not worth that, period), and is kinda retarded that they let him go. Houston isn't a bad destination for him considering they're being crazy aggressive in trying to wheel and deal for big FA's, and the city was already rooting for an asian star not too long ago...

     

    And then Kidd pretty much going to the Knicks for nothing, and then getting caught drunk driving after that!

    yeah! That whole mentor idea with Kidd went right down the drain! Who would've thought people could be so loose and unorganized with millions of dollars on the line.. Rockets have become the "Asian" team of the NBA with Yao and Lin lol. Please D12 to Houston :rolleyes:
