Aes Sedai vs. Jedi

Luke is all powerful. But he never had to deal with a Rand in his universe! *Light saber throw* "Ta'veren forced light saber to miss.

I think the atium (stupid auto correct) would let them see that they're screwed. Too much AOE in channeling.

Well let's just have a battle in each universe to be fair/unfair? In WoT universe WoT characters win. The wheel weaves at the wheel wills right?

In non-WoT universe. We have no TAV safety net.

(Perhaps) Your overconfidence is your weakness.

LoL

Trust me bro, Luke becomes like Goku times a thousand. He'd be like Rand with the Choedan Khal's in comparable power level in his element.

I did a wiki on it, but found no mention of how OP Luke became, only that he became a 'grandmaster-jedi', which to me, doesn't mean much... seeing as he was basically the last living jedi in the movies.

Plus I'm entirly going with movies jedi vs wot books.

One thing to consider though, Rand basiclaly has a lightsaber himself I think we saw him use it in book 3 on his way to that one walled fortress city.. (flaming blade) pre-calandor(sp).

I think I just like Jedi better. I can remember when I first joined DM and I went to the 'other tower' I was asked if I wanted to be a Warder or an AS, and I was like - but an AS could pick up a sword and learn it if she wanted right? Cos basically she is going to live for hundreds of years and there's only so much meddling and knitting you can do before it gets boring.

Apparently not though, cos it takes time to learn how to do the things they do, even though everyone seems to pick stuff up instantly and Rand learned how to be a Blademaster in a few months.

The Jedi just seem more fair and less restrictive to me, and the Sith even more so  so I like them more, so they win.

Aside from being biased to WoT, I believe the channeling concept is far more vast than the uses of the Force. With the ability to manipulate all the elements, Travel and so on, I believe the OP has the advantage overall.

In a one-on-one fight, a well-trained Jedi would definitely put up a good fight, especially if the Aes Sedai had more talent for non-combat abilities, but in a group, I don't think it'd be any contest. I don't recall anything in the Star Wars universe dealing with Jedi being able to heal themselves or each other, only Sith have any for of projectile attack (Force Lightning), I believe a sword made from The Power (ala Rand's in the earlier books) could definitely compete with a Light Saber, and aside from the Force Jumps, Jedi don't have too many defensive abilities.

I'm no where near as familiar with the Star Wars universe though, so I could certainly be wrong on a number of points there.

a lightsabre is just super-heated plasma contained in a magnetic field. it can burn things, and deflect other bolts of plasma, but that is about it i would imagine.

You leave my lightsabers alone Hoof. I've already fried you once, don't think I wouldn't do it again lol.

:darkone:

Its a more elegant weapon from a previous age.

what use are your lightsabres against my fireballs :baalzamon: mwa ha ha ha!

Yeah, so I will just force choke you. Can't shield against the Force. And I imagine it would be quite difficult to concentrate on channelling when you can't breathe.

not is i incinerate you first lol

i suppose it comes down to who is the faster draw.... you who must raise their hand to use the force, or a channeler who can weave with a thought?

Awwh.. there there Ithi.

At least I whooped Hoof's tail for ya :baalzamon:

Which makes all this back and forth between you and him about who kicks who's butt is irrelevant, considering I won that tourney

Yes you did. Well done.

:politeapplause:

Hang on a minute ... Didn't you actually battle on the side of the Light for that Tourney !!

Not my choosing.

That was such a croc at first, my first character was like sailor moon or something. Link ended up being not too bad, and at the end I got to be Dark Link since Hoof was fighting on the side of light as well

indeed....

i lost that tourney on PURPOSE to deny the Light there victory!

at least that is what im going with....
