The Walking Dead: Season 3

Featured Replies

Plus, just think of it, Lori and Andrea dead the same season? If they'd only waited three more episodes to kill Shane, this would have been the greatest season ever. The whole trifecta of fail dead at once.

why are the men not killing each other over the limited female population? this should be a priority during a population collapse.

or is that in season three as well?

Why? Wolf packs don't kill each other over who gets to lay with the bitches The alpha dog does, and puts the other dogs to work. (I'm using dog terminology here for the wolf pack, not the women on walking dead.).

Why waste good labor? They are going to need it. Killing people who could benefit them, is just wasteful.

You can probably take walkers and convert them to pull a plow, but I doubt you could rig something up to get them to plant, water, and weed your farm land. Least of all milk your cows....

humans aren't pack animals. there's nothing wired into the human brain to accept non Alpha status easily or well. besides, wolves gestate 63 days and raise a couple of litters of several pups each every year. humans are slow breeders. it makes a difference in the social structure. need to invest lot in a generation, and need to have a reason to want to.

the labor force would have to be fixed... like they did in harems.... and even then there'd be a lot of resentment to deal with.

don't see a coalition with too many more men than women lasting vey long under the circumstances.

You just made my point.

Wolves breed fast, Humans do not. That means, physical labour comes at a far greater cost. (kind of why humans used to have 8 kids on average, over 2.5 and not just because of the reduction in infant fatality.)

Besdies which, why would one man, even in that situation, possibly want to get it on with every female? Whats he got to gain? (don't forget which culture these people come from! As you said. They aren't wolves. So why would they breed like them?)

Irregardless, it would be bad from every point, to simply kill all other males in said group.

Genetically, it would screw them over in less than a generation.

Labour-pool it will screw them over for when they can finally start working on restoring agriculture & industry.

Miliatary/Scout wise it'll screw them just as much.

As for the not-accepting the alpha?

Really? So.. we haven't had kings, and Chiefs in our past and people totally didn't follow there 'orders' as the 'pack leader'?

There are/were at least as many women as men left from what I can tell. Rick had lori. Shane could've been with andrea if he had't gone bonkers. Daryl has Carol. Glen has maggie. And who knows how many women there are in Woodbury,,,

Heh.

If this were showtime, thered be at least 1 gay couple and at least 3 lesbians.

I still think Andrea and Michonne spent their eight months together making the beast with two backs. There's your lesbians for ya.

Its not the same when you do it to stay warm.

it's better.

nothing like fear to light things up.

who were the two women who missed their vibrators in season one? I have to rewatch... I didn't identify anyone for a few episodes.

Andrea Lori and carol. I think one of the bit characters wife might behave been there too... Maybe not.

Okay, this episode may have redeemed what has been a lackluster season so far. Really good stuff tonight.

Plenty of characterization for you in this one for you Nol. Daryl breaking down and crying was some sad stuff.

*glares*

how dare this show get me to like, sympathize and even cry for Merle

*shakes fist @ AMC*

how do you guys think Dayrl will coup now?

I don't know what exactly there is about it... but I think this is one of my favorite episodes of the series. Rick is beginning to revert to his orignial form, Daryl is about to face a major character hurdle, Michonne is coming into the group, Glen and maggie solidified their relationship, and Andrea is about to bite the dust (hopefully).
