As if this room wasn't small enough... (Tamerya!)

As Aureli made her way from the dining hall to her room, she was beginning to notice that people were beginning to get used to her appearance. At first, she was some sort of oddity. Novices and even some Accepted gawked at her right shoulder, how there was no arm with it. It was normal for this sort of behavior in Tear, but it was a different thing altogether in a place where she was among women she would be working with. At least now they looked at her like a slightly different person instead of something from a traveling show. She opened the door to her rooms, and she was alone, yet she noticed a set of sheets and blankets folded up on the second bed.

So, she wouldn't be alone for long. Aureli took in a breath and let it out. Novices were supposed to keep their rooms spotless anyway, but she decided to make the room welcoming anyway. She lit both lamps, and with a little difficulty, she made up the bed for the new girl. If they ended up friends, it would be nice to be able to talk to someone about all this change. She might even be able to explain her appearance a little better, too. Perhaps the others would be a little less hesitant to talk to her if she had a friend.

When she pulled back from the bed, she inspected the sheets and nodded. They looked good enough. She looked about and wished she had something to spruce up the place a bit...but she didn't have anything besides the extra bit of bread and cheese in her pouch. She'd bring that up later, though.
