Perrin and the Broken Crown...

Featured Replies

Just curious because to my knowledge it is never covered in full, but Min foretold about the broken crown, Bashere then mentioned something about the Broken Crown as well. So my question is:

Is the Broken Crown, the name of Saldea's Crown or is it something else?

It could just mean an early foretelling of Faile, but im beginning to wonder whether he might somehow inherit the crown of Saldea...

The crown of Saldaea is called the Broken Crown. So, it could just be a reference to meeting and marrying Faile (who, as a member of the royal house of Saldaea, is the heir presumptive to that crown at the moment) or to Perrin eventually becoming the King of Saldaea (since we know via Faile that a married Queen of Saldaea would not have a Prince Consort - Perrin would be her co-ruler and King, if both Queen Tenobia and Davram Bashere predecease Faile).

The precise meaning has not been made apparent, but it certainly seems to be in some way related to Perrin's marriage to Faile and connection to House Bashere and the rulership of Saldaea.

It's very possible that everyone higher than Faile in the royal procession will die in the last battle leaving Perrin king of Saldea.
