I have LotR and I will definatley but Dong of Ice and Fire. That's something I want to reread. Amazing books.

BS was on my list but I can't decide where to start.

Clive Barker was another on my list but again I don't know where to start.

Most of the books are imported editions and not available in bookstores. Guess have to take online shopping.

I'd recommend World War Z if you're into zombie apocalypse stuff at all. In fact even if you're not it's still a really fun read, dead easy to pick up and read little bits at a time.

Trainspotting's brilliant too, but I imagine it would be a massive challenge reading it, as it's written in the Scottish (specifically east coast) dialect

Max Brook's Zombie survival guide's a fun read too

And teh Age of Five trilogy

I didn't like that one, saw the ending coming from the beginning of the third book

The Empire Trilogy by Raymone E Feist (definitely his other stuff, but Empire is best)

Feist!! Ithillian your a woman after my own heart!!

I'd recommend anything by Raymond E. Feist starting at the beginning with Magician and going from there.

I am a little sad to see none has mentioned David Gemmell tho all of his books are awesome especially Legend but I'd say start with the first book chronologically which is Waylander the Slayer and go from there.

The Stand, by Stephen King

I swear, I think I've read it 3 times.

Also, The Shining, by Stephen King.

Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott

Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen

Vanity Fair, by William Makepeace Thackeray

the last two you can download free from Project Gutenberg.

Do you have any pubic or subscription libraries available to you? I seldom actually BUY fiction. I check out books at the library. I also go to Project Gutenberg: there's a TON of public domain classics available there for FREE!

the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan

I could never find that series.

And teh Age of Five trilogy

Read. Quite nice though in the first book Lierd/Mirar was a bit like LTT/Rand

The Sword of Truth Series is alright, gets a little repetitive but still nice

I have read half the books and it is not that interesting.

A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson is supposed to be a good book, I've heard

lol

Fablehaven (5 books) by Brandon Mull is more kid type reading, but I like it anyway. I stopped reading at my own lexile range once it got past 1000. The books just started getting nasty. I've read one Grisham novel and I'm not reading another.
