Working on a magic system and looking for help

Featured Replies

I am currently working on modifying "Mage: The Awakening" to work with the magic system defined by RJ in the WoT for an individual d10 game I have been asked to storytell. I was wondering if anyone has ever compiled a list of which elements are combined to do each casting act defined in the books. For instance, I know that Nynaeve uses all five elements in her version of healing and that they are used in different proportions, however, there are many more casting acts that are defined in the books.

If it comes down to it, I suppose the best way to do this is to reread all 12 published books and determine the aforementioned information, but it would be much easier to work off of someone else's existing categorization if it exists.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

i think your best bet will be to list the "spells" that you want to work out. it'll be easier for folks to remember specific weaves than to try to list them all from scratch. just a though is all, hoping it's helpful.

I'd like to be able to replicate all of the ones given in the books as "rotes" and then develop some guidelines for creating new ones, so a list doesn't really help, but thanks for the suggestion.
