I read this and shivered

I read it too. It was amazing. I sat there for a minute, considering the fact that it's only september and the excerpt is from Chapter 11... but I couldn't resist.

I REALLY can't wait!!!

I have it pre-ordered to arrive at my house the day it is released through Amazon.com, but I keep holding out hope we'll hear that there's a bump forward in the release date. I don't expect it, but it's nice to hope

Ditto.

I really want the ebook, but I'd rather read it right away and give away my copy when the ebook is released than wait.

Yeah, I'm with ya. I don't think I'll be getting any sleep that night. This is the end to a journey that has spanned over 16 years of my life... still unsure how that might affect me. But damn, am i excited

I'd love it if they did a reprint of the series in hardback with the eBook artwork. I'd buy the whole set again just for that

When A Dance With Dragons was released, I woke up at midnight and downloaded the Kindle version to my phone, then spent most of the day reading it, with about a 4 hour nap in there.

Then I stayed up reading until 4, called in sick to work, and read until I finished it at 8 am.

I expect something similar may occur. I should just plan on taking vacation the day of and day after release.

Gotcha, I did a little googling after I asked. I haven't been able to fully commit to a new series, and probably wont' until after AMoL, but that looks like a good one to try. I read the first two Sword of Truth books, and they were alright, but I guess I've just got this tick that won't allow me to move on until WoT is over

Heh, ADWD was hella long. It took me about 28 hours of reading time to get all the way through it.

Of course, once it was done, I did pretty much immediately go back and reread some parts.

I know the feeling. After reading ToM, I went back and re-read Veins of Gold at least twice. I think I went back to other books to reread parts that had culminated too. I dunno, I see myself going into homework-style book report mode on this once it's done. Check to make sure all my questions were answered, reread bits earlier that now had answers, take a while to reflect over it.

I dunno, I always do that. Even after having conversation with people, I usually go back over them in my head and ponder or reflect.

Geeky I guess

That was fun so, unfortunately im not sure i can get the book on jan.8 i think it comes 1-2 weeks late :(

Oh yay. Thank you so much for posting the link to this. It has got my WoT spark burning again. How many days have we got left to go now?
