Starting University on the 8th. So excited

I actually love the starting school feeling. Good to see everyone after 2 months apart. First week is great. Second, not so much.

It's not so bad. High school is a really awesome experience. Just be sure to stick with the good crowd.

What year is that? High school for us covered the last 7 years of school.

We're referring to 9th grade.

I have a few good friends and then my cousins can probably help with homework.

That's excellent. I personally stick with the orchestra kids. For some reason, many of the best students can be found in the instrumental music program.

we were not religious at all. it was just safe.

it would have been very difficult to start in high school but.... i suspect the kind of school your dad wants to send you to is less orthodox than mine were.

god willing.

my dad wants me to go to one... I'm not extremely religious, though.

What kind of religious school? Catholic?

I never went to school - stayed on the farm almost every single day of the year until I was 17. That was...exciting !!!

yup... he'd even send me to pennsylvania for it

Yikes. I think my parents would send me to a Mormon school if such a thing existed, but they don't, so I go to plain old public school.

there's this, not quite a documentary, one of the reality house series shows, where they make people live like it's a certain historical era... frontier house, american frontier late 1800s.... they had a bunch of kids in that one.... which their parents should not have allowed, but anyway, they did.... and the kids were so miserable working on the farms night and day that they looked at school as a treat when they finally brought the teacher in.

You're Mormon??? that's sooo cool!

they'll get even when they write their books...

yeah, it was quite sad, one of the couples ended up getting divorced because of the show. the husband stayed on the farm/set for like a year afterwards, it messed with his head so much.
