If you ever feel a need to transfer schools, mine is waiting (on the other side of the country, but that's what Traveling is for!).

First day of high school?? Hmmmm, let me see if I can dust those memories off. Lets see, ummmm, wassssss19 years ago now? See, i went to a very small private school in a tight little community. When it came to my first day of high school I nearly died. Place was HUGE. there were only two other people from my school that attended the same school. I was so sheltered. lol No offense to the people who have but I might as well have grown up on a farm in the middle of nowhere. I had zero exposure. To anything! Unless it was on TV or made into some kind of action figure or comic. hahahaha 20 years ago hazing was pretty big still too, so Freshman Friday was extra terrifying lol. Turns out that most of my anxiety was needless. I have an older brother, 3 years difference, who was a very well known popular guy. A bunch of his friends recognized me off that bat and instead of ticking him off by messing with his lil brother they mostly ignored me. The worst hazing I got was a dude writing his name on my arm. That was on the same bus ride where another under classman was literally strung up upside down on the hand rails on the bus. Drawn on mercilessly, eggs, flour, make up. Was quite an amusing spectacle. Especially once the kid, having given up the struggle, started taunting the upper classmen and made a hilarious spectacle of himself. He became like the Senior Class mascot after that.

My first day was kind of harrowing. It was my first time at a public school since i'd been homeschooled before that.

I know how you felt because I'd been in a private school for 8 years. I've seen faces that I thought had moved away, and one that really creeped me out because we'd been in the hospital together back in May, and I caught him staring at me today. And wow, the bus stuff is whacked up... Today I had a wad of paper thrown at my face for no reason on the bus.

I just got home from my first day. It went smoothly except I forgot to print all my summer homework.

Luckily I had my computer, so my AP Lang teacher let me turn it in online. AP Chem I'm just going to have to turn in tomorrow.
