The polls are all done, if you haven't voted in any of them you better do so quickly. On Sunday, April 9, the finals will begin.

The tenth poll question is Who is your favorite foreigner?

note: Loial isnt really a foreigner to Randland, but Ogier are seperate societies, and I havent been able to place him in a poll question yet, so I made this one specifically to put him in, and some more of the Aiel which have been under represented (Aviendha).

Im voting for Thom, as he is one of my favorite characters and I am having a hard time finding or thinking of categories to include him in.

Oh, Matrim Cauthon, of course. I have a liking for rogues, and Matrim Cauthon is a real one.

And of course he really has the MOST interesting development among these chars. By far.

Moric of the Singing Wind sept of the Miagoma aiel

Definitely Thom. Just when you think you know about him and his past something else comes up.

This one's tough. I don't know if Nynaeve should count though, since she wasn't one of the ORIGINAL travelers, but I can let that slide. I love all of them, but I had to go with Matrim because, "I'm a gambler, a farmboy, and I'm here to take command of your bloody army."

I like all of these characters and the order in which I like them would change after each book. With one book left I pick Mat because of how he has personally changed and yet remained interesting. Rand is still close and has a chance to pull ahead with a strong performance in the next book but just like Frod in LOTR it is hard to be the most likeable when everything rides on you.

Voted for Egwene. The story lines I look forward to most, involve either Egwene or Mat.

Egwene or Mat, I'd have to flip a coin to decide.

Hard choise! For me it was Mat or Moiraine and i can`t exactly explain why i chose her over Mat. Maybe because i didn`t really like Mat at the first books.

I went with Tom. He has nothing to gain and everything to loose; yet he steps in and provides security. He takes two dumb lumps and teaches them how to make a living and keep safe on a long dangerfilled journey. The trade he teaches and the care he provides far exceeds the norm for helping the lost. Tom is the champ!

I am having a really hard time deciding. I love them all but the top three are Mat, Rand and Egwene. I love the fact that Egwene is tough as nails and will not be fooled around with. Mat has a playful chracter that makes light of situtations that I do not think the books would be nearly as good if not for him. Rand of course it the main chracter and is the highlight of all things. Rand is strong and has had to make some hard decisions... but none as hard as this. Hahahaha.
