You guys would make strange Librarians. If I was a Librarian, I would definitely go mushroom soup with dragon hair.

Be careful with the dragon hair - it might bring an unwanted smell to the library. :P

Anything served on a WoT-book-cover-printed platter :D

Eating breakfast on Rand or Moridin?

Well bacon and eggs are good, but for breakfast normally i'd just eat cereal. And I have no idea what locke is up to.

I would probably eat a smaller version of what I do now usually - rashers, black pudding, pottage or some preparation of potato. Sit on their...rear all day, is what librarian's do, so couldn't eat as much. >_>

I don't eat breakfast at all. It takes me a while to be able to face food in the morning. I sometimes have an egg and cheese muffin from the work canteen.

I wonder if being a librarian would be as nice as it sounds.

You do nothing all day. Or so I imagine - back home, I volunteer at a library most weekdays after work and everything, and I might be there until late, sometimes as late as 1 am, and essentially all you ever do is reshelf books. That's it. Sometimes you order books, put stamps and things on them, then shelf them. Once in a blue moon you pull out a lot to make sure they are all there, update inventory, and if something is so old it is falling apart, you put in recommendations for a newer copy or you note that someone needs to make a new copy themselves, then put them back. But since usually all you have to do is shelf, which does not take a lot of time, the rest of the time, I would just sit and screw around on the computer. I suppose if you could get paid to do that, it would be a marvelous job - you do nothing all day - but I just volunteer for some hours as community service.

I think it´s different in different places. I know that at my wonderful library there is a lot of things going on. I would love to be a librarian. Well, I´m in charge of the very tiny library at the school that I work in so I guess I´m halfway there. lol The best part is when I get to order new books and see the kids take them right away because they have been longing for something new to read.

I think you guys are forgetting that as a Librarian, Creativity is an important aspect of one's diet. And bananas.

I think it depends on what sort of library you are running - I would say the one I volunteer for is...you can get membership for it, but there are quite a few requirements you have to meet to get membership; if you are not a member, you can look at some of the collections, but not all, and we won't loan you anything, books or cds. We only have so many people who can check things out, and then the collections are almost entirely academic - we only have a tiny, select bit of popular reading and children's books, so it does not exactly attract younger people often . The most work I usually ever do there is copy older manuscripts or books that are starting to fall apart and can't stay in circulation anymore, but that is only once in awhile, so yes, not much to do .
