Haven't heard of dominon. Settlers of Catan?

Has anyone ever played Diplomacy? We talked about it in my political science class today. It sounds like it would be a very interesting game to play.

How do you play it?

From what I understand, you get to be one of 7 European powers before World War 1 and your ultimate goal is to take over the board. There's no dice or anything - which is what interested me about it. I read a little more and apparently, games take an insane amount of time to finish. But it sounds really fun. There's actual diplomacy!

That is interesting. I kind of want to find out more about it now.
