..... and they misinterpret clubbing.

ok, just gonna say this right out, though i know it will hurt...

you asked,

many members of the shadow have absolutely no darkness or evil about them whatsoever.

nya, ayla, smiley.... i'm talkin' to you here.

zero percent evil.

bupkis, nada, none.

thanks cindy :)

I was going to say none of them are actually evil. Pretty, some of them, but not evil .

Pretty? Why thank you, but I prefer devilishly handsome

No, if the original quote had pretty in it, I would have said you are all pretty, not some of them .

suddenly I'm thinking of Arez' "I'm so pretty" threads

*shiver*

Turin turned around to barely catch the enormous deathgate shot his way. He tried to counter the weave, but was not quick enough to stop it from slicing the ground out from under his feet and sending him... somewhere. He found himself in a large, dark, circular room with ten doors around the sides. The ceiling was strange and difficult to focus on, as if it only half-existed. His head was spinning with thoughts as to what had happened. Obviously someone had wanted him here, since he or she had aimed the deathgate so precisely as to catch him without slicing him in half. As Turin sat, wondering who would have pulled such a stunt, a faint click rang out, and bars of brilliant white shot from just in front of each door. Balefire. He was trapped by a cage of balefire. A voice boomed from every direction.

I know your fear. You may laugh and joke about balefire, but you are secretly terrified of its destructive power, as is any channeler who has the audacity to learn it. You wonder, quietly, what it must feel like to face the purifying flame. Feel that terror now!

The ten bars of light angled themselves downward until they met in a blinding point just above his head, then reached down to touch him. A brilliant and exquisite pain filled his body for an endless moment... then, nothing.

Turin opened his eyes to see the Black Tower once again. How did he get here? He had died! One small detail stood out. Ironeyes stood a few meters away, watching with a knowing look in his eyes...

Apprentices getting up to no good can be quite evil. Then again, 'explaining themselves' on the Battlefield is probably going to be the most evil.

That may or may not have had something to do with a mindtrap...

It was really fun to write, too.
