Borderlands 2

I'll have it in a couple hours. Everything I've been seeing and reading promises a bad ass game, exponentially better than the first one. Which I thought was quite bad ass on it's own. Anyone already have it and been playing it?

Got it as a pre-order on Tues, it's amazing! Everything I imagined, with some pretty cool stuff I hadn't expected.

Seriously man, I've put like 14 hours into it already and I'm about lvl 14 lol. The dialogue is hilarious most times. When it isn't funny it's kinda disturbing. Some of the shit the random bandits will say is like...Whoaaa.

Just beat it the other day, put quite a few hours into it and it was pretty fun. I'm just not sure if it was fun enough that I'll keep playing in True Vault Hunter mode. Which is NewGame+ basically.

I've been taking my time with it so far. I got the new character as well but haven't tried her yet. And the new DLC comes out next week, so there is still tons for me to do.

Yeah it sucks. I can just hope for a fix soon. I got my mechromancer to lvl 10 so far. The Deathtrap she summons is insanely overpowered at the early levels. He took out the two bosses Boom and Bewm by himself lol.

Its indeed an awesome game, i beat the first part of it while i was home last time and expect to do the same to True Vault Hunter mode this time home. Cant wait until i can get my characters hands on The Bee shield and then go whip up on Terramorphus the Invincible and Verminomorphus the Invincible. (the only things i cant kill right now)

I will say that I miss playing Mordecai, its much harder to snipe in this game because the lack of damage you can stack... i miss doing 27K with a decent quality Jakobs, but with the weapons themselves becomeing truely insane in this game (alone with shields and Health) i guess thats to be expected... and a REALLY miss Tresspass... ignoring shields was awesome

Overall this was a great sequel and i expect to devote a huge chunk of my gaming time to this like i did the first one. Cant wait for the next round of DLC's if they mean Knoxx level of awesomeness then i will be a VERY happy camper :)

On the Downside i have 2 Golden Keys that i still ahvent used... not sure if i should use them at 50 or wait until the first expansion DLC and see if we get a level increase and use them then lol

As far as I know there are only 2 available. (i'm on a PS3)

1 from preorder

1 from signing up with gear box

(unless you have a PC then there is a way to get infinite keys, but most frown on this)

I'm hoping that with the DLC's there will be a way to get more keys because it seems kinda weird to have a chest sitting in Sanctuary that you can realistically only use once or twice and then be completely locked the whole rest of your life. That's not saying Gearbox is going to do this, but i hope so because even waiting until level 50 to open the chest the loot you get will be next to useless once they increase the level cap to anything over 55ish.

Just a note for Borderlands 2 Fans.

Gearbox has revealed that they will be doing special "Golden Key" events in the near future, so we can expect these to pop up every now and then and give us access to more of them.

Also today (16-Oct-2012) should be the release of the first DLC (not counting Gaige) for Borderlands 2.

Captain Scarlette and her Pirates Booty.

We'll get access to more weapons, new full mapped areas and missions, and a new crystal currency.

I dont know much more than that right now unfortunately, but i have heard through the grape vine that "The Bee" shield will be getting a nerf because a few people complained about it (this saddens me as it was a goal of mine to get it)

Haven't gotten the DLC yet. I might just wait to get the season pass first.

Thats awesome about the golden keys though, can't wait.

Its a pretty good DLC from what i can tell. Not quite as large as Knoxx but a really good first release. Plus new stuff is always awesome. Plus they included 2 "raid" bosses that actually live up to their name "the Invincible"

About the only down side to it is you cant farm anything of import, the main boss and raid bosses are "locked" to only allow 1 kill per day. Everyone's trying to get gearbox to raise this limit (or remove it entirely) but so far they are ignoring the request. I can kinda see both sides here, but after the story in borderland the whole point of it is to farm the big guys to see what you can get from them lol

Yeah i dont know much about the key events yet, but they are supposedly going to be special (event, challenges, etc) and will be announced in the menu screens of the game as well as online i expect.

Welcome citizens of Pandora. New's on the Next DLC

Mr. Torque's Campaign of Carnage

Not sure of any specifics yet unfortunately, but hopefully there will be more to come on it soon.

They said all of the original Season Pass DLC would be released by the beginning of 2013 and they seem to be holding to their word so far.

These first ones i believe are being produced in outrigger studios and not in-house, so (this is unfounded rumor at this point) I expect at the end of the season pass time frame we will get a pretty massive update/expansion from gearbox itself. Hopefully i can ferret out something before the official release, if so i'll let you all know.

Attention Citizens of Pandora

Hopefully the codes will work for all you, its a limited time thing :(
