And now I can barely see things close up. And brightness hurts. And the computer is not a good thing to look at for any sort of lengthy period of time.

What does dilate mean? Some kind of eye operation?

Dilation is when the retina is expanded (dilated) typically used by eye doctors to make sure it's perfectly round without astigmatism.

 

Short answer: the black part of the eye is REALLY big for a while :)

Ahh. He wants to have a corrective surgery so that he won't have to wear glasses or contacts anymore.

 

They had to run tests to see if his eyes are candidates for the surgery.
