Basic Sum - Cairma requests time away from the yard to study her forms. Aran tags along to get out of the usual, and the party is then joined by Lyssa. They are in a meadow a few days south/east of Tar Valon where Cairma has her swords out to practice. Lyssa aproaches as Aran is bored and asks Cairma questions.

Well, that was surprising, Aran hadn't expected them to have a third person along. Why had Lyssa decided to catch up with them? Probably saw the danger signs with Vasya as well and decided she needed to get some distance while she still could. It would be nice to have another person along though, if nothing else it'd make time pass more easily whenever Cairma lapsed into one of her silences. Pointing at Cairma with one of the sticks that she had collected, Aran decided to answer the question of why Lyssa had caught up so quickly.

"Its her fault, she drinks far too much water." Laughing at the response he got from Cairma at that allegation, he adopted a ready stance once more. "Cairma here is having another little training session, I was so bored I thought I'd give her someone to strike at. Why don't we make this interesting? You two versus me, it'll be unfair but it'd still be unfair if there were four of you."

Grinning, Aran took a couple of steps back and adjusted his stance so as to cover both of them. Now all they needed was for Lyssa to arm herself up with a stick and they could get to it. It certainly looked like his suggestion was amenable to the pair now.

Aran

Tower Guard

ooc- this thread had three posts to it

Lyssa hooked her saddle bags into place and glanced around her. She made sure that the man wasn't anywhere near her and then tightened the cinch on her saddle. When Aran had said he was leaving with Cairma she decided that she was going with. Those two were too flirty for her to like very much when she had been trying to get Aran in her bed for many years. She vaulted into the saddle and walked out of the yards, waving at the Guards on duty as she went. Lyssa mused on why she was late, she had wanted to leave as soon as they did but one of the other guards who was a friend of hers had broken in leg in a spar and Lyssa had agreed to take her shift. She could only hope that they were going very slow and stopping often for breaks. If luck was with her they also would stop early for the night and she would be able to track them.

She made her way through the city and out the gates, heading east to Mayene. They were going to practice forms as they went, learn from each other and from those around them. If they were lucky they would get in a tiff or too. Perhaps even meet a group of bandits and get to use their skills to defends themselves. She didn't know why she was excited by this but she hadn't left the city since she was made a Trainee and she was excited to be getting out. Not only that but they might even get a chance to train with the Queens Guards in Mayene. She made her way down the road and soon was going along at a good pace.

It didn't take her long to find them, only about 3 hours. When she approached Cairma was standing over by a lovely waterfall and Aran was sitting on his horse watching her. Lyssa sat and watched them, just observing and was suprised to hear Aran telling Cairma how bad her form was and climbing off his horse to bring her a stick. She shook her head and waited for Cairma to explode, if the woman didn't she would be sorely suprised. Lys climbed from her horse and looked over at both of them, they were starring deep into the water and had seemed to forget their swords or pieces of wood...

Lyssa Simeone

Lyssa climbed from her post and wondered what they were looking at. She walked up behing them, her steps places carefully. Getting a few feet away as she didn't want a sword through her gut she spoke, "It's her fault, she drinks far too much water." She chuckled and listened to Cairma's response to that one, the woman didn't like hearing that one. "Cairma here is having another little training session, I was so bored I thought I'd give her someone to strike at. Why don't we make this interesting? You two versus me, it'll be unfair but it'd still be unfair if there were four of you." Lyssa smiled at him and removed her sheath, she put it aside and went to find a stick. "Oh and you think you can take the two of us Aran, I think you are going to lose your bet there." Eyeing Cairma, after all she knew there was something going on between the two of them, she turned to her and said, "Shall we??

She got into her guard stance and began to circl him slowly, her feelings for him far and distant as she prepared to strike at him. Cairma made the first strike and she followed up with her own. Going high and ending low, flowing into a cross stroke, and jumping high to kick out as she striked at his head. He avoided all of them and she grinned at him, he was good and Cairma and her would have to work as a team if they wanted to beat. Oh yes and she for sure wanted to beat him, she never seemed to be able to beat the man at anything...

Lyssa Simeone

To take the challenge.. or not... To beat Aran at his own game of swords... or to watch Lyssa take on Aran while she sat on the fence as Aran had done with her so many times before... Cairma looked thoughtful for a moment as she mimiced a thoughful stance.

The grin and the positioning of ther two lathes was enough to say that she was in. "You take left and I'll take right. First one to give Aran a black-eye wins?" She held her swords ready, waiting for a comment from either of them... "Unless Aran has a bargening chip to save him a bruiser.." She teased lightly. Knowing full well that she wouldn't give him a shiner.. at least, not on purpose without him figurtively asking for it.

Cairma V.

(Sorry so short... )

Dodging Lyssa's blows, Aran quickly put some distance between himself and the pair. Cairma seemed to have more of a head for the strategy though, they planned to split him up so they could split his attention. Fat chance of that, he wasn't going to let them pick him apart from either side. He'd force them to dance and move to keep up with him if they tried that, they'd have to fight him on one front or not at all.

"A man like myself has no need to barter with mere women like you. Surrender is in your blood." Grinning as the pair remembered the reference to an earlier incident, he darted forward and with a few ferocious hacks of his sticks had the woman stumbling back at the unexpected strike. Cairma sought to take advantage but Aran rounded on her in turn. Cairma had come a long way rather quickly, but he still had experience over her if nothing else.

As Lyssa rejoined the fray, Aran danced back as he shifted the grips of his daggers as he did his stances. Whenever they tried to seperate too far he'd simply move to one side near one of them and try and put that person between himself and the other fighter. While it wasn't exactly possible to do that, he did force them to move until they gave up and pushed at him both at once. They were pulling themselves back a little, but at the same time Aran wasn't throwing his sticks at them, so all in all it balanced out. Besides, the aim was to learn rather than win.

Though winning was always nice.

Aran

Tower Guard

The challenge was set and it was enough to make Cairma smile. Aran was good, a little quicker than her, not that she wasn't compensating with her second blade. She didn't fight him often with two blades and was proving to be a fun challenge. "It's not a matter of surrender, but your inevitable defeat." She grinned as they spared, Aran working to avoid being flanked by both of them. Aran grinned as he blocked thier attacks without a response, not putting the added effort to attack back just yet.

"Unless you care to put a wager on that, Aran. We win, we get to learn about your past. You win, it's your call."

Dancing back a few steps, Aran had a moment's breathing space to consider what Cairma had just proposed. The other two didn't press forward either, they waited for his answer... He had trust in the pair of them, he was certain they would not slip if he swore them to silence and most likely not otherwise. Still, they knew nothing, it was better that way. Or was it? Sometimes it was easier to let the pattern weave what it wished. "If I win, then the pair of you owe me a favour of my choice."

Cairma

Aran

The other Tower Guard grinned at her and then lifted her lathes, Lyssa smiled in unison as the Cairma spoke, "You take left and I'll take right. First one to give Aran a black-eye wins?" Lyssa chuckled as Cairma continued, "Unless Aran has a bargening chip to save him a bruiser.." Lyssa moved over to the left as she kept her eye on Cairma, they would have to work insync if they wanted to beat him and she didn't trust this woman overly much. She raised her sword and moved forward into more blows, Aran blocked those from her and from Cairma, "A man like myself has no need to barter with mere women like you. Surrender is in your blood." Lyssa shook her head at him and smirked, they had shown him all right and he would do well to remember that. It wasn't them hanging in their skiveys when it was all over.

She watched him closely and moved in for another set of strikes, as she did she noticed that he kept moving away from her or trying to put Cairma between them, so that she would have to pull her sword strikes back to keep from hitting the other woman. Well this won't do at all, the man is far to cocky for his own good, she thought. She moved forward and waited for a chance to break through his practiced moves. Cairma spoke up and Lyssa could do nothing but grin, "It's not a matter of surrender, but your inevitable defeat. Unless you care to put a wager on that, Aran. We win, we get to learn about your past. You win, it's your call." Lyssa blinked at the other woman and then grinned, her blue eyes sparkling with mirth. There was other things she would have liked to have earned with winning but she didn't think she was up to a group thing yet.

He looked at her and she nodded in agreement that she was approving that bet. The man danced backwards a few steps and seemed to be considering their request. "If I win, then the pair of you owe me a favour of my choice." Lyssa looked over at Cairma and nodded at the other woman, "Well since you won't win we won't worry about that but if by some crazy means we do lose than I agree to that bet." She chuckled and waited for Cairma to agree or not...

Lyssa Simeone

Cairma grinned and nodded her head as her attack was blocked. "Sounds good, Aran?" They waited with their proposition as Aran worked against thier attacks, over a few stones in the small stream that flowed from a small waterfall at the edge of the field. "Well..?"

The small stream was a fortuitous find as far as Aran's chances went. Unleashing a blistering attack of all of maybe five blows, Aran had then turned and made his way onto the stones. There were a fair number of them, and while it was undoubtedly dangerous it also made things alot easier for him to handle. As far as balance went he could dance a jig on the stones and be fairly confident that he wouldn't fall and break his neck and that was good enough for him. As the pair stood at the water's edge and Cairma asked her question, Aran laughed as he answered. "Sure, and my favour will be that the pair of you kiss. Properly at that, tongue and all." Aran poked his tongue out at them to illustrate his point.

Cairma cocked her head to the side at his comment and was about to say something witty but vouched herself against it, and instead sprung forward with ease onto the, her footing as firm as they were on the ground. unlike hte log that she had fought Rosheen on, The stones did not move, and balanced as she was, she was not going to think abotu Aran dreaming of her and Lyssa kissing, as that was just discusting and uncalled for. The only female that she may have ever considered it would be Jaydena Sedai, and she had been drunk at the time. With a very quick series of attacks, both her swords change purpose, and instead of attacking to poke holes in him, they were ones that were a little more to the left or to the right that would throw him, hopefully, off balance while fighting both her and Lyssa. "A proper kiss between the two of us would never be seen by the likes of you. Thats just dirty!"

Cairma was better than Aran had given her credit for. And with Lyssa helping her out, it was proving difficult to keep her back and out of reach. Of course, when in a position where one was bound to lose, the smart thing to do was change the position. This is something that Aran did as he moved from stone to stone, forcing the pair to reposition themselves as best they could because most stones only had room for one person. That was his only way of dividing them as he went, leading them on a chase and trying to take advantage when one was left alone. He'd almost toppled Lyssa a couple of times and Cairma once as she'd been leaping to the stone he had just vacated but they stuck together too closely. Still, it was just a matter of time. Whether the matter was him getting one of them or both of them getting him remained to be seen.

His movements contered Cairma's easily, Balance for Balance, but Lyssa turned the tables with her attacks, giving Aran that one added destraction that kepts him off balance enough to leave several openings and only barely recovering in time to block or parry her hits. It would be only a matter of..

*CRACK*

As Cairma's left lathe came down hard on Aran's right, both splintered in an explosive manner, showering them all in the wood. Being only a fight for fun, they looked at him with wide grins as he looked down at the broken stick with a bit of surprise and a bit of, what Cairma would guess would be as close to a pout that Aran would ever give. The stick failed him. And the two girls were giving him wide wining grins.

Looking down at his stick which had failed him miserably, Aran looked up at the two women who were grinning at him like the bloodsucking banshees they were about to reveal themselves to be. On the otherhand, he hadn't lost yet. Tossing his broken stick along with his spare at them, he turned and leaped over the stones as quickly as he could to find safety on the other side of the stream. Racing towards the nearest tree of size, he clambered up it with the grace of a squirrel. Not a moment too soon either as the pair had been left swishing at the empty air he had just vacated. Higher he climbed until it was going to be a chore for them to get at him. Looking down at Cairma and Lyssa, he singled Cairma out with a grin. "Another time I would have said it looked a bit nippy down there."

Cairma laughed as she looked at him, "Reminiscing a little bit?" Remembering the first time she chased the man into the tree. "However, I can't say the view has improved much from my end. Maybe loose a few of those clothes for our enjoyment, or i just might have to come up there and tear them off myself."

Laughing, Aran reached out for a branch. "Wait there, I think I've found something, let me just grab it." Miming at grabbing something he, he sounded puzzled. "Wait there, it looks like its upside down." Reversing his fist so it was pointed upward, a single finger shot up and saluted the pair below. Like hell he was going to strip off because they ordered it. The pair down below had managed to manhandle him once before and if they wanted his clothes off they were either going to have to offer something themselves or get up the tree and force him to do it. "Tell you what, you two do a tongue twister together and I'll throw you my shirt."

"Bloody son of a goat... " Cairma said with a grin and passed Lyssa her surving lathe. "Follow me if you think he may escape." Calling up, "The only twisting there will be is your shirt and pants being removed from your protesting body!" Jumping to the first branch she took two swings before she was able to hook her knee up on the adjourning branch. She swung up easily and she could have sworn she heard a 'oh shi...t' abover her as she easily scrambled up the tree as Aran had only moments earilier. Signalling for Lyssa to follow, she didn't care if the boy didn't oblige. This was just going to be fun.

"Bloody squirrel, if you think you're going to catch me you're five kinds of retarded." She was fast but Aran had spent his life up in high places and his balance was as good as it got. One step ahead of her as she worked through the branches after him, he saw Lyssa making her way up and laughed. "The pair of you? Up here you'd be about as much use as fanclo-" His foot slipping mid stride onto another branch, Aran's hands flailed about in a desperate attempt to grasp anything to steady himself.

And failed.

Landing hard on the branch, he would have clenched on it with both thighs if he had any strength left in him. As it was, the only thing he could manage was a white face and a squeak before slipping sideways off the branch where he proceeded to descend with a boneless grace. Bouncing off a few other branches on the way down, he hit the ground hard. The Creator had a cruel sense of humour and after years of cracking jokes at the Creator's expense it seemed like one of those days were the Creator decided to crack a few of his own. Aran might have even appreciated it if he was capable of thought, as it was the best he could manage was somewhere between curling up in a ball, whimpering and shallow breathing. Today was not his day.

All that could be heard over Arans wimpers were the howls of two women laughing.

On to the next thread..

The other woman nodded her head and spoke, "Sounds good, Aran?" They moved toward a stream going in the waterfall, "Well..?" Lyssa watched him move toward the stones, she had good balance herself as it was part of her discipline and she figured he did as well. "Sure, and my favour will be that the pair of you kiss. Properly at that, tongue and all." Lyssa blinked and then looked over at Cairma, the other woman had her head cocked to the side, Lyssa wrinkled her nose up. She hadn't ever been with a woman, well with a man for that matter and she didn't know if she would like it or not. Shaking her head at the musings she watched Cairma jump over onto the rocks, Aran had stuck his tongue out at them and Lyssa imagined twisting it just for his comments. Lys jumped over onto the rock, her feet sure and steady, this had been part of her training and so she had no fear of wet rocks, she began attacking him with slashes while Cairma worked between slashes and thrusts. "A proper kiss between the two of us would never be seen by the likes of you. Thats just dirty!"

Lyssa chuckled at that, after all Cairma was pretty and such. She shook her head again and focused on the task ahead of her, she lost herself within the Void and began to attack him harder. He danced between the stones and they followed him as best they could, there were two of them and one of him and only a couple of the stones seemed to be big enough for two at a time. She felt like she was gaining some ground, although twice she had almost lost her balance when the rock beneath her had shifted or he had moved from her strike. Suddenly a crack rent the air and their sticks shattered, Lyssa lowered her own unbroken stick and grinned at Aran. He looked them both over and then ran for the other side of the stream, moving nimbly across the rocks. Lyssa grinned at the other woman and then took off at a run after the man, he really couldn't stay comitted to anything for very long. He went right up a tree and she was left with her stick striking the bark on the tree instead. "Another time I would have said it looked a bit nippy down there."

The other female laughed and then spoke, "Reminiscing a little bit? However, I can't say the view has improved much from my end. Maybe loose a few of those clothes for our enjoyment, or I just might have to come up there and tear them off myself." Lyssa blinked and eyed the other woman and then decided this had possiblities, she grinned up at Aran. "Wait there, I think I've found something, let me just grab it. Wait there, it looks like its upside down." His finger shot up as he did and Lyssa just laughed softly and wondered what the man would think of next. "Tell you what, you two do a tongue twister together and I'll throw you my shirt." Again the man had to have some strange thing about the two of them kissing, she wasn't sure where this misguided notion was coming from but it wad frankly kind of pathetic. "Bloody son of a goat... Follow me if you think he may escape. The only twisting there will be is your shirt and pants being removed from your protesting body!" She took the lathe from Cairma and watched as the woman began to scale the tree, when Cairma was several branches up she followed her and barely caught Aran speaking from above, "Bloody squirrel, if you think you're going to catch me you're five kinds of retarded. The pair of you? Up here you'd be about as much use as fanclo-" Just then Aran's feet slipped and Lyssa watched with horror as the man landed on his most sensative part and then toppled from the tree to the ground. She looked down at him and when she saw she he was ok, she looked up at Cairma and started to laugh...
