The playlist thread got me thinking...

Do any of you have a last.fm account? Here's mine: http://www.last.fm/user/Roxinos

Feel free to add me. I'd love to see what you guys listen to on a daily basis. I have a few older members (Hax, Zyr, Demi) already.

Haha. Why don't you click the link and find out?

:-p

You download a little thing called a "scrobbler" that uploads the artist and title of every track you listen to on your computer's media player. It puts out statistics, can recommend stuff to you, and gives you a similarity rating with other listeners.

and it turns on your computer's mic and webcam and uploads the feed directly to your facebook so everyone can see you singing and dancing along in your footie pajamas

Hah, now that'd be a fun service.

I wish I had footie pajamas.

Last.fm was never anything I really got into...too much work...I much prefer letting Pandora pick my music for me...

That's the thing, I don't use last.fm to listen to music. I just use it to record what I listen to and see what other people are listening to.

what's pandora?

It's an automatic music recommendation service available to all of the US with limited service in Australia and New Zealand. You type in an artist or song and it puts together playlists made up of similar artists/songs.
