What Do You Like About Your Name?

Featured Replies

Okay, so we all have likes and dislikes about our names. As I know that not all of you want to share your actual name, you don't have to, but I would like to know something that you like about our name. I'll start. I like my name Aurora because I think it's unique, it's a goddess name as well as Disney (which I love), and it's just a really cool name. What do you guys think about my name as well as your own?

My name is Jesse. The only noteworthy Jesse I know in tv is on Breaking Bad... Not a good representation lol.

The name itself is fine, but frequently gets shortened to Jess, even by people who don't know me that well.

What I like is that it's no where near common around here, so I can safely assume when I hear it, it's me they're talking to.

that's good... my name sounds like so many different things that I can't always tell... I've never met a Jesse, and there's no point in shortening it because it's just by one letter ... do you know the meaning of your name?

I don't actually like or dislike my name. Only thing I don't like is the "aakk" part of my name. It just sounds a bit stupid, two vowels+ two consonants. I'm not telling what my name actually is.

My RL name and till recently my DM Handle was Pankhuri. Pankhuri means "petal" in Hindi. I really like my name because I feel it connects me to nature.

My new DM Handle Panchi means "bird". I like it for the same reason as Pankhuri.

Well... I'm not sure if I like my name... Arthur is ok but still feels weird saying it in English after close to 12 years speaking mostly english now...

Of course you can make some nicks outta it like: Arty, Ad or Admin etc... lol

That's so cool!!! Like King Arthur  My mom didn't pronounce my name like it's supposed to be pronounced, but I think my name is pretty and even though you pronounce it properly with a bit of spittle, I like a lot of Gaelic names because they have cool spelling and pronunciation.

No one uses my real name, it´s just in official contexts. I like Tina. I have been called Tina since I was little and that is more me than my actual name.

yeah, a lot of people call me Rory, although only two people call me Aura.

Nya, would you mind sharing you name? It's okay if you don't, but it sounds cool.

*snorf* Okay then... Johanna :P

I don't mind it, but I like other names better :P But I do like the nicknames people have derived from it...my friends come up with the wackiest stuffs.

One embarrassing thing about it is that my mom like to make certain situations awkward by singing a certain Sweeney Todd song >.<

cool! I have an aunt named Johanna. It's really pretty and I've always loved that name and that of what was based off of (Joanna). It means 'God is Gracious' and it's really cool

My name is really generic. Joshua. There's just so many. It doesn't really have anything special. The puns can really get to me sometimes.

I quite like moi name, 'specially since it's the name of a Greek Goddess. My mum also gave me and my sisters names all starting with the same letter, so that's pretty cool imo  No one shortens my name anymore, but my old friends used to call me Sel or Beanie.

TRL, my step-dad's name is Jesse too

I like the fact my name (Ruairidh) is unusual and means 'red king' apparently. However its a pain in the backside having to constantly spell it out to people

It's annoying because people make sounds that sound like my name and when I ask them "yes?" they're just like "I didn't say anything."

Roo! Great to see you. Your name is cool but it´s impossible to spell and pronounce. How do you pronounce it?

One of two ways. Ro-ry (like Rory McIlroy the golfer if that helps at all) or Roo-ry. It's very difficult to communicate it through text, sorry
